Biography
Natasha Lakic, originally from Bosnia and currently based in the UK, is a contemporary abstract artist specializing in oils and mixed media. Prior to delving into the realm of fine art, Natasha dedicated 25 years to the artistry of painting the faces of supermodels and crafting makeup designs for prestigious Paris Couture shows, celebrities, and prominent magazines. A transformative period during the lockdown prompted Natasha to depart from the fast-paced world of fashion, including her involvement in a new magazine startup where she served as the creative director. Returning to her initial passion for painting, Natasha finds her main inspiration in her imaginative vision, with a strong influence from the dynamic and ever-shifting atmospheres present in the landscapes of clouds and water.
Natasha's artistic process is marked by intuition, employing palette knives, sweeping gestural movements, and the incorporation of rich texture and layers.
